Stayed here in Savannah and it was nice.
I would recommend this to a friend.
If you're looking for a decent place between the too expensive and el cheapo, then look no further.

Hotel entrance is nestled back from the road. Look for the sign on the road, and forget about the pawn shop next door.

Four women - 2 adjoining rooms. We were allowed to check in early, thank you! Rooms could have been brighter with updated rug and air return in the bathroom. There was an extensive free breakfast. The best I have seen out of 14 recent hotel visits. There was also a two hour free happy hour. We had several cocktails each with no questions asked. They were out of white wine and lemons. I don't get that one. These are bar staples. The staff was very courteous whether it was the bartender, the breakfast wait staff, or the front desk. There was a nice computer area in the lobby to print boarding passes and a waiting area with large flat screen TV's. Rooms had free cable TV.

Even though we had a car, we took a Tolley Tour which picked you up at the hotel (6 miles from downtown) between the hour and half hour. $23 each for on/off privileges - $20 w/o. We had to reserve our trolley tickets at the hotel with a $5 deposit each . The hotel would issue you a deposit slip to use to board the pick-up trolley and to buy your full trolley fare when you got off at the terminal. We took the late drop-off trolley to get back to our hotel around 5:00 p.m. If were staying another day, we could get the trolley again for $10 dollars. This is a great savings on parking and cab fare.

The only odd thing about the hotel? Patio chairs inside the swimming pool. Is this hurricane protocol?

There is excellent shopping and dining all up and down Abercorn Street.

Was overall satisfied as it met our needs which are simple.... not too expensive with a decent breakfast. The room was OK. Yes it could have been brighter inside and I suppose the carpet had seen better days. The bed and bathroom was clean. The Breakfast was the best I have had even at more expensive places. We didn't get down to breakfast until 9:00 right when they were closing the line down. The breakfast staff were understanding and did all they could to make sure we had everything we wanted and did not rush us out. Overall a good stay.

Beware...The minute we walked into our room were were knocked over by the smell. We rushed out to walmart and purchased air freshner but that still did not help. When i unpacked the closet rods were so dirty i could not hang up my clothes. The floors looked unvacumed especially around the baseboards, they looked like they had NEVER been cleaned. After my shower, i put on clean white footies, walked to the tv and then to the table and on to the bed. When i looked at my socks they were BLACK...no kidding. That was the most discusting ever. When we got home i emailed the hotel about what i thought and the manager immediately emailed me back and promised to refund half of our bill $150.00. I think he just said that to shut me up because i have never seen one penny. Please carefully consider staying at this hotel. The 2 free drinks are not worth the filth. They should think about their customers, but instead they take your money and are done with you.
