This place looks like at one point in time it was an awesome hotel, however, that must have been a looong time ago (i.e. the 70's).
Positives: Dirt cheap (think we paid $50 on a Saturday night), Close to the highway, Clean towels, Fridge..
Negatives: The A/C in the room was propped up by a piece of wood. It finally cooled down after a few hours. Place seemed kinda dirty/dingy.. Had a couple drinks at the bar ("Snugglers Cove".. ha, hardly) which was an interesting experience (they still had the price stickers on the bottles and the staff acknowledged things weren't the greatest). Some guy revving his truck engine woke me up at 6am with horrible loud music. Creepy people that seemed to live at the place.. I saw some guy working under the hood of his car and there were some other beat cars around the place.. Resident mechanic? maybe..
I noticed there were some places on the other side of 95 advertising rooms for about the same rates from their billboards. Felt like a chump for staying here after seeing those the next day but we survived the experience. I'd check out those places across the way and stay here if you're really desperate.
