I had never travelled to Savannah before. The Mulberry Inn is conveniently located. It is a 5 minute walk to River St. and The Pirate's house is just a block away. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend The Mulberry Inn to anyone travelling to Savannah.

The Mulberry Inn was so beautiful and the service was wonderful. Beautiful lobby, great check-in piano player in the evenings and Sunday morning. Our room was wonderful. The breakfast in the hotel restaurant was a buffet and was reasonably priced and delicious. The courtyard you looked out into while eating was so beautiful and the pool area was very nice too. Highly recommend it to anyone, if we ever go back we would stay here again.

First the good: the location, right off Bay St.; the classy lobby of oak, chandeliers, a grand piano, the quaint curb appeal and old-world look of the grounds, the very accommodating staff especially bellman, George, who has been with the hotel since 1946 (!) and has been featured on the Travel Channel, the pianist at afternoon tea; free parking at a secure, convenient garage. Now the disappointing: our room was very small, musty, and in need of a face-lift (although everything worked). So were the elevator and hallways. Maybe I'm being a bit tough but given the raves on Tripadvisor, I expected more.

The Mulberry Inn is located right inbetween the riverfront and the historic district of Savannah. As soon as you walk in you can see that the entire hotel is true to the historic nature of the town. It does not look like a Holiday Inn at all... it looks more like the Holiday Inn group bought an existing private hotel and didn't change a thing except to hang their sign up. The courtyard is full of wrought iron furniture and a very nice fountain. There are multiple entrances. The pool is nice and there is a very active jacuzzi also available.

The room was clean and had a fridge, microwave, and very large flat screen television. There were also multiple chairs and plenty of room to move around. The microwave acted up a bit on us - randomly beeping in the middle of the night - but we just unplugged it and figured it was one of the famous Savannah spirits. Everything is within walking distance, including the Pirate House restaurant (next door!), the shopping and dinning at the riverfront, and all of the historic houses.

There is a $12 charge for parking in the garage. The breakfast was ok - a little expensive. We didn't eat any other meals there. My fiance rec ommends the cinnamon french toast and likens it to french toast made out of a sticky bun.

Overall this is a great place to stay to enjoy everything the city has to offer.
