I travel with a band and we try to stay at hotels in the $40-$70 price range. This hotel is right next door to a bar we play and we stayed there 10 times in 6 months (most 2 night stays). The room was never really clean, especially bathrooms (moldy), rather run down but only $40!! One night we checked in at 5 am, loaded all the gear UPSTAIRS and got settled in only to discover feces on the floor (dog). Went to ask to have someone come clean it, they refused and only offered to move us. Explained how much stuff we had and that we didn't want to continue disturbing everyone else, didn't matter. Never apologized or even acted concerned! Called Days Inn "headquarters" and complained. We recieved a letter offering a 20% disc on our next stay (I felt it should of been more due to our past patronage) on Super 8 letterhead. When we tried to use the discount they argued with us saying they never sent it and that they do not own the Super 8; however, after much discussion they did give us the discount. No one who truely did not write it would honor it right!! I felt they were rude, un-cooperative and not worth the headache even for $40/night.
