Observations from my two night stay at this hotel in May 2008:
Pubic hair stuck in the towel from a previous guest.
Rust on the towel rack.
Thin, old bath towels.
Stains on the carpet.
Stains around the toilet seat.
Smell of old smoke and older food in the dark, dank, hallways.
Clear snoring sounds from the room next door.
Old style metal key for the room door (no card).
Miniscule breakfast room with three tables (I'm not joking) and hardly any selection of food.
Tiny TV in the room.
Rickety internet service that intermittently required re-logging in.
Hot water from the "C" setting and cold water from the "H" setting in the shower.
Ratty old non-slip pad in the tub.
Need I go on? This hotel is currently undergoing renovations. It does not matter. I will never stay here again, nor at any other Shilo.
The logo of the Shilo, "affordable excellence", is an absolute joke. That the word "excellence" is even in the description of this property is hysterical. Just stay away.
