Brocks is a good restaurant with a menu of many choices including steaks, seafood and pasta. Salads are included with dinners at no charge. Vegetables are cooked al dente and fresh baked warm crusty rolls come with dinner. The big plus at Brocks is eating on the veranda overlooking the Rappahannock River. The old railroad bridge crosses the river not far from the restaurant and the trains come by some blowing their whistles. What a pleasure! It reminds me of some European venue and is totally charming. Tuesdays feature bottles of wine at half price. What's not to love? On weekends after 9 pm there is music on the patio with lots of young people so it that is not your cup of tea, come early. Menu items are moderately priced. If the veranda is full, ask to sit on the patio next to the railing overlooking the river.
