We spent 5 days at the Aspen Hotel Fairbanks inFairbanks, Alaska. We had the "family suite," which was one main room with a king bed, tv, bathroom, small table and one additional very tiny bedroom with bunk beds and a dresser. Each room had a tv and vcr and the small bedroom had some kind of video game attached to the tv. The room was very clean and comfortable and worked out great for our family of 4. The hotel provided a complimentary continental breakfast in the lobby... fruit, cereal, fresh-made waffles, bagles, english muffins, juice, milk. Plenty of seating. Generous serving hours. The hotel had a small exercise room with only 3 cardio pieces (treadmill, bike, stair-climber) and a very small indoor pool and indoor jacuzzi. While this place is most definitely not a resort hotel, I highly recommend it for a decent place to sleep at a decent price. (We paid $179 + tax) per night for the family suite. The breakfast alone saved us at least $30 a day.
