The ice museum doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside it is pretty cool :) They provide warm parkas in the entryway, which you need in the 20 degree interior. The museum has a number of impressively large and elaborate ice-sculptures, as well as several hotel rooms that are entirely composed of ice -- including the beds and facilities. You can get a $15 martini at the ice bar although we chose not to partake. One of the most interesting aspects of the tour was watching the ice sculptors work. The ice museum is located at the Chena Hot Springs Resort, and if you really want to go for total thermal discombobulation over the course of a day-trip you can also visit the hot springs, which were (as advertised) very very hot but also a fun experience.
