This is a cute museum with a very friendly receptionist. Our grandkids told us we must go see Balto the husky while in Alaska and this museum in Fairbanks has a lot of history about the Serum Run that the movie was based on and the Yukon Quest sled dog race. When we returned home, the kids informed us that Balto really wasn't the dog that made the longest and most hazardous run to Nome. It was Togo. But they said Balto is a more exciting name for a movie. Aren't 6-year olds something?
