My husband and myself are new to the state of Alaska. We just moved here in July of 2007 and we are exploring this beautiful state. I was searching the internet for a place to stay for my husbands upcoming birthday in October. I saw the website for Dale and Jo and called. I spoke with Jo and explained my plan and she immediately suggested the perfect room for our stay. I believe she may have been more excited about planing this suprise weekend than I! This B&B is far beyond what is described online. The home is exceptional in style and comfort. The owners truely love what they do and guests are treated like family. We spent 45 minutes sitting in the diningroom talking about anything and everything......we were in a "friends" home. Dale and Jo supplied menus for the local establishments for dinner and after choosing one she called and made reservations for us. Service above and beyond!!!
The Spa Room we stayed in was beautiful. The view was breathtaking and went on as far as the lights of Fairbanks in the evening. The bed (a numbered adjustable bed no less), linens, decor and last but not least, the huge bath (deep tub, multi-spray huge shower, granite double sinks and all the toiletries one could want, truely made our weekend the best yet in Alaska!!
Jo was very accomadating when it came to breakfast and we were treated to some wonderful freshly made apple tarts and coffee for breakfast..
The weekend was a great success, thanks to the heartfelt devotion that Dale and Jo have in entertaining and providing superb accomadations for their guests!!!

During our stay in September of 2007 at Dale and Jo's lovely home, we were made to feel very special. There were two couples of us, so we rented the two bedroom suite which is the whole downstairs portion of their house. It is decorated so pretty and VERY clean. Jo has thought of and provided all the necessities and extras that you need. If you don't see what you need or want, she will get it for you. Each morning, Jo provided us with a "special" breakfast, and I must recommend her homemade quiche. It is the best that I have ever had and Jo makes her own pastry. Dale and Jo were so accommodating and helpful in suggesting things to see and do around the Fairbanks area. Dale is a walking road atlas!! Even though their home is not located "right in town," it is VERY conveniently located to get around Fairbanks. If you get lost, just call Dale and when you tell him that you don't know where you are, he can still get you home!!! Staying at Dale and Jo's was a much better choice than staying in a hotel.

We stayed at Dale and Jo View Suites this past summer, 2007, and it was by far the best in all our travels.

We stayed in the Spa Room. The room was quite lovely and very romantic. The large and comfy king select number bed gave us the best nights sleep. There is also a sitting area and walk-in closest that where perfect for us to put all of our stuff in. The room also has air-conditioning, which was very nice since it had been a very hot day. The bathroom was just more icing on our cake. The shower is completely tiled and has a hand held shower head on one side, and on the other side there is a shower head along with 4 jet sprays. What a great way to begin or end ones day. The large soaking tub was just as grand which my wife enjoyed very much.

The breakfasts each morning was out of this world. Jo is very good at altering the breakfasts to accommodate our dietary restrictions, which no one in all of our travels has ever done before. We felt very spoiled. She had a selection of juices, teas and our own coffee pot all ready for us to just turn on each morning. The owners attention to all the small details made us feel very welcomed and pampered. We would take our breakfasts up to our room so we could enjoy the peace and quiet along with the great views of the Alaskan Range and rivers.

We had a great experience at Dale and Jo View Suites. We have already recommended it to our friends, and will definitely be going back for a time of relaxation. This would be a great place to do some Aurora viewing this winter as well due to it's location. We do hope to make a return trip soon.

Our 4 night stay at Dale and Jo View Suites was the perfect ending to an incredible three week journey through Alaska. My husband, 2 adult sons, and I stayed in the 1st floor 2 bedroom suite (Executive Suite). Jo greeted us warmly upon our arrival and we were spoiled immediately........the suite had its own private entrance; it was spacious, tastefully decorated, and absolutely spotless. Two bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and a fully supplied kitchen with dining and sitting areas was such a luxury after two and a half weeks on the road. The views were spectacular; the serenity was enchanting. Breakfasts were left each evening for the next morning. Whether it was Jo's quiche, homemade breads, or ham and eggs, everything was delicious. Jo was very helpful in directing us to the best food stores, restaurants, and local attractions. Her attention to detail was evident throughout - the accommodations, the breakfasts, and her willingness to answer all of our touristy questions. Located approximately 10 minutes from downtown Fairbanks, a car is needed as there is no public transportation to the bed and breakfast. If you do have a car, however, staying at Dale and Jo View Suites is a must - sheer perfection. You will certainly be pleased with your choice.
