While on a road trip from Anchorage to Fairbanks in September my boyfriend, our friend and I intended to camp until the heavens opened. We dug out our rough guide to alaska and spotted a potential bed and breakfast for the evening. Ah, Rose Marie, we called and John the gracious and gentle owner accomodated us in a beautiful room for a very reasonable price. The b&b is beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The following morning we intended to leave after breakfast. It was the breakfast that persuaded us to stay another night. It was fantastic cereals, toast coffee, fresh fruit salmon and corgette omlette and fresh muffins. Sumptuous beyond belief. John makes a real effort to make you feel welcome and his attention to detail was wonderful. A real treat, much better than a wet tent. It was a real highlight of our RTW trip. If in Fairbanks stay there, you'll love it.
