This review has been given a neutral rating since we didn't stay here. However, as there aren't any reviews on Cranberry Ridge Lodge I thought it was worth a mention.
We met Mike & Floss (the owners) through their flightseeing tour company 'Alaska Flying Tours'. After the tour had ended Mike invited us back to his house to meet Floss, his wife. Well, I have to say they are both welcoming and accommodating. They showed us around their beautiful home and took us to their B&B apartment.
Cranberry Ridge is located north of the town (Fairbanks), about fifteen minutes from the airport. You would need your own car to get around since it is set on the outskirts of the city centre but most people hire a car in Alaska anyway. The view is incredible and they have moose which come right up to the house and B&B apartment. There is a separate entrance so you don't have to walk through the main house and you can park right outside your door. If you wanted to see the Northern Lights, this would be a perfect place to stay since there would be minimal light pollution as they aren't based in the city.
There were two comfortable double bedrooms which can sleep four adults, with room for two children on a rollaway. The living room area contains a sofa, television, table and chairs with a fully equipped kitchenette. Mike & Floss provide a continental breakfast for their guests to enjoy at their leisure. If you were interested you can find information and view photos on their website (---)
