This is a hidden little gem in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. We celebrated my husband's 32nd birthday dinner here with 6 other people. It is an extremely inviting, romatic restaurant. The open kitchen is so quiet, you don't even realize they're cooking back there. The service was execellent! We were pleasantly surprised to see that we were not "assigned" one waiter. At one point or another, everyone came to the table to either fill our glass, serve our food or just check to see if we needed anything.
The food was DELICIOUS! We all started with the Seafood Potato Soup...the start to a beautiful meal. For entrees, most of us chose the same items, the meatloaf reminded my friend of his childhood days, the striped bass was cooked perfectly, the flesh was melt in your mouth and the skin was crisp - a great contrast in texture. My husband had the duck entree and loved it! The duck was not greasy at all. (My husband's fear when he orders duck in any restaurant.)
The hanger steak was another win at the table - cooked to perfection!
For dessert, well, since there were 8 of us, we ordered one of everything on the menu and shared it - our favorites... the Hostess Cupcake, Strawberry Shortcake and Mango Cheesecake!
Little Bistro is a "Can't Miss", we will be back again soon and can't wait to see what twists the chef has in store for us next.
