I spent a lot of time deciding where to stay in Page and settled on Linda's because of one of the reviews and the photos. We didn't take clear instructions with us on how to get to the condos so we spent a lot of time retracing our steps (our fault). We finally arrived rather tired and stressed and were not in the frame of mind for what we were to encounter. Firstly, the condos are nice on the outside but were not near the water as the photos led us to believe. We paid extra for a water view room but the only water that could be seen from our balcony was from the very right hand corner. Water glimpses would be more to the point. We opened the door and were hit by a very unpleasant smell. It took some time to track it down -the dishwasher reeked and was in dire need of deodorising. The bathroom was clean but the rest of the place didn't feel fresh. The brown shag pile carpet was well past its use by date and we didn't like to walk on it bare-footed. The main bed was a pull down type and I doubt if anyone had cleaned behind it for months. The sofa bed was OK but difficult to collapse. The blankets were dirty (or badly stained) and some had holes in them. The laundry was great and we made good use of the washer and dryer. There was also a good drying area in the laundry. There was a great oven, but unfortunately, no baking dishes to use in it. The room did have a TV and DVD player. There was a good sized balcony to sit out in the evenings but alas, no barbeque as mentioned by a previous reviewer. We had looked forward to that. The hosts were great. They had really good ideas about where to go and what to do. They know the area very well.
Page is a very interesting town and Lake Powell is worth a look. An absolute must to see is the lower Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend. Both are a very short drive out of town. They rate as two of the top places we visited on our trip. Be aware though, Antelope Canyon will cost a considerable amount to visit.
If you are considering staying in Page, I would suggest staying in town. The view from most places overlooking the lake is pretty good.
