I have taken two classes at the folk school. Fly Tying and Intro to Bagpipes. The Campus sits right on Lake Superior - the class rooms are Spartan and simple - the instructors are great and REALLY care about teaching you their art in a easy-to-learn, unpretentious way. The staff is also great and from the beginning there is a real "sense of community". A must for life long learning. Grand Marais is is the perfect setting for the North House Folk School.
