An otherwise excellent dinner was marred by an unexpectedly high price for a dinner special - Yukon Salmon. Menu prices are posted (typically low $20s for seafood), but the prices of specials were not. My wife ordered Yukon Salmon per the server's recommendation, but the price of $38 was not disclosed. I was later told that this was a rare type of salmon, but one would not normally anticipate such a price. It is logical to assume that the prices of specials are in line with the menu prices, and one should not have to ask if there are exceptions.
Otherwise, the food was superb (a pan fried walleye was nicely done and a bargain at only $12.50). Wines were also reasonably priced. Service was flawless as well. Yet, I am reluctant to go back to a restaurant that I feel has violated my trust.
