On the south shore of Gunflint Lake this resort has something for everyone and every budget. Tent camping, RV, Camper Cabins, Cottages, A-Frames. The Baker's and crew make everyone feel welcome and they go out of their way to accommodate. I have stayed in camper cabin 11 twice - it's bug-free, weather proof, comfy and spartan, but very affordable - the showers and toilets are a short walk. It makes a great base for day hiking, canoeing on the lake, fishing or what ever. The camper cabin it's self is not a destination, but a very affordable base to carry-out your vacation plans. There are 4 or 5 camper cabins and number 11 is set-off by itself - the others are not, so keep that in mind.
I was there shortly after the wildfires - the south shore and resort surroundings was untouched, but the view across the lake is pretty crispy - lots of really cool hiking in the burnt areas.
