My best friend and I took a vacation to South Carolina and wanted to spend one night in Gatlinburg so that we could get up early visit The Smoky Mountains and then be on our way. This hotel was only average. I would not reccomend this hotel if you are planning to stay in Gatlinburg for more than one night. This particular hotel is only for people passing through.
We arrived around nine o'clock in the evening, We checked in recieved our key and went to our room on the second floor. The key cards would not work so we had to take all of our luggage in the dark, back to the desk lady, where she gave us a new room.
The room was fine, beds were clean, TV and air worked just fine. The only complaint was there was hair in the bath tub when we got there. Thye had not done a very good job of cleaning the bathroom.
Other than that our stay was fine. This is not a vacation hotel, this is a passing through town hotel. I also did not realize when we booked that this hotel does not have indoor corridors, the Super 8's in my area have indoor corridors which are safer.
All in all, not bad if passing through.

My husband & I were on a trip to NC and wanted to stay in Gatlinburg one night so we could visit the Smokies. We weren't going to be at a hotel much and didn't want to spend alot of money. I was hesitant to go here after reading the reviews. However, I was surprised when we drove by. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. You could tell it had just been painted. He said the hotel had been sold, but had not changed names yet. At any rate, it was clean and economical. Better than the dumpy one at the airport in Nashville. You may want to check it out again.

Absolutely horrific experience--stayed on second floor. Room was noisy (something was rattling the entire night); in serious need of repair and maintenance (tiles beyond cracked in tiny bathroom; showerhead very low and shower curtain disgusting). Breakfast area was not welcoming at all and breakfast consisted of coffee and donuts. Needs to be razed and a different motel be built at this place--never been so disappointed!

Reading all the reviews below I think I was lucky. We stayed in room 123 which was clean and we had no problems with it.
We used the swimming pool which was OK.
The front desk people were not very friendly but OK.
This was our 2nd stay in a Super-8 hotel and the previous stay in the San Diego Sea World was terrible, this one was much better...
