My mom and I go to Gatlinburg every year and this is the first time we have stayed at the Ramada. It was very reasonably priced for the location and room type. We had 2 double beds near the rear of inn. It could use some updating but it was clean. We were able to walk all over downtown. We love to people watch and plenty of chairs are provided on the main strip so you can watch the foot traffic. I would stay here again.

The first thing I need to tell you is that I have been to Gatlinburg at least once a year since 1989, and this is the first and last time I will stay here. The lobby was dirty and televisions in need of repair sitting on floor. The room was ok but needs remodeling really bad. Our room was cleaned the first morning we were there but was not cleaned again until we checked out (hope it was cleaned then) and we stayed four nights. Housekeeping would not clean our room unless we had left by 8:00 a.m. We had to ask for towels and wash clothes everyday. There is a late night bar on the premises so I was awakened every night of the weekend (around 2:00a.m.). They should not have a late night bar in a hotel only a regular hours bar.

I just read the trip advisor article on the dirtiest hotels. I remembered this place and out of curiosity I checked the current rating on this place. As you can see we went a few years ago-- but the pic's are the same so I know they did not renovate. Our rooms had a hole in the wall, musty smell, ripped carpets, dirty sheets and linens and paper thin old towels. The pool was grown alge a sign to me that it is not actively filtered and prob. a health hazard. We left after one nite. When I booked I looked at the same pic's over 4 years ago--- I think this place is beyond a dump. The playground is was the one metal structure that you see in one of the photos on the ramada web site. Actually-- it was rusted and something I never ever see in a playground anymore. Our 1yr and 3 year olds were out of luck. We went down the road to the County Inn and Suites and had a fabulous pool and room and loved the remainder of out trip. Hey Ramada-- you have a great location put forth a little effort renovate!!

Stayed at this hotel because of it's location. Right in the heart of downtown, easy access to shopping and restaurants. Hotel is older, age does show however, we found it to be clean and roomy. Was very nice to have a gas fireplace in our room. We stayed in one of the king suites in the back building. Had enough room to put out a queen sized air mattress for our 2 sons as the double queen rooms were already taken. Parking can be quite challenging especially during peak
times of the year. I think that's the case with most hotels, restaurants, etc. for the area. Overall satisfactory. would stay again or possibly rent a chalet if traveling with a larger group.

“Worth the money”

Ramada Inn Gatlinburg

26 Oct 2007

This is the second time we have stayed on the Ramada. We stayed in November 2006 and again in October, 2007. The first time we chose for the location. My dad has lung cancer and we booked a room overlooking the parkway so he could enjoy the sights since he is unable to walk the parkway. The second time we chose because they are a pet friendly hotel. They have a very reasonable rate for pets ($10 per day, some charge $20/$25). Most hotels in Gatlinburg are older and there is only so much you can do without tearing down and rebuilding and I feel Ramada has done good with what they have to work with. Both times we stayed in the front building. The carpets look newer but maroon is a poor choice because it shows every little thing. Under the beds was not vaccumed, but probably most hotels don't do this ever time. The hotel seems to have been recently updated. There is good water pressure. The location cannot be beat. Right on the parkway, pretty much in the middle of everything. The staff is really friendly and helpful
