Ignore the positive reviews about this hotel on this website and follow the negative ones. The pictures on the internet do not reflect the actual appearance of the hotel. The second I approached the hotel I knew I was going to be disappointed. I walked in and immediately asked to cancel my reservation but there is a 72 hour cancellation policy. I'm sure they got tired of people canceling on the spot so they probably use this rule to avoid losing money.
I got this hotel because of its inside corridor for safety reasons. This is the weirdest inside corridor I have ever seen. In other hotels you walk pass the lobby and towards your room. In this one, you go to the lobby to check in, and then you go outside again and walk to the very end of the property to a building with inside corridors which were fiiiiiiilthy!!!!!! The walls were covered in dust, the elevator was crappy and the carpets desperately needed cleaning. In this building on the first floor there was large room which could not be entered. I guess it was the indoor pool room.
Compared to the corridor the room was better but still not too comfortable. It had that, 'used and abused' feeling. The furniture needed changing, especially the couches. But the housekeeping did the best they could with the basic cleaning.
The most surprising thing about this dump was the free continental breakfast they give you. This is beyond crazy. Most sensible hotels have an area for guess to sit and have a small selection to start your day. This one gives you this little ticket you take to this itty-bitty restaurant nearby where you can only chose between a gravy biscuit or danish and a cup of juice.
I regret not listening to the reviews before I went. Don't make the same mistake. This hotel is Gatlinburg’s city dump.
