Nastiest place I have ever stayed! I immediately knew there was a problem when the internet they had claimed didn't even exist.

THEN, I had no telephone either! I called attention to the manager who stated that she wold get a repairman to fix. (I was staying with 3 small children and my elderly, disabled mother....which I told the manager!). 2 hours later, I went to the front desk and the manager stated that she would get him there ASAP "because he's not doing what I told him!" We had ZERO phone service the entire stay!

The ice machines were completely unplugged and pulled out of there spots.

I walked across the room with white socks on and they were BLACK!! When I raised the bedding, the carpet underneath was an entirely different color!

The comment cards in the room were already filled out by previous guests and the coffee maker had dried coffee that would flick off with your fingernail!

I brought all of this to the attention of management and they did NOTHING! I even sent a letter to district and NOTHING was done. Not even an apology.

This place is pure trash and why I am staying at Hampton Inn for my New Year's visit!

We booked this room online for a very good price. It was a basic, standard, clean room next to the pool (the lower one that you can't see from the parking lot). It had a surprisingly nice view. I like the location on the far end of town, just steps from the edge of the park. My mother liked taking her time to walk down the hill shopping and then riding the trolley back to the hotel.

Check-in was fast and courteous. The continental breakfast was... a contintental breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful when we needed a couple more pillows.

I may be a little more forgiving than some, but I don't feel that alot of the bad posts on here would have been justified during the four days we stayed at this hotel.

We booked this room about three months in advance. When we arrived in Gatlinburg at 1 p.m. the front desk personnel was very nasty. We assured her we would wait until 3 p.m. for check in. At 3:05 we come back and she then could not find our reservation. Thank goodness we had our confirmation. She then ask us to come back in a few hours because the room was not clean. We then told her it is after three and we have traveled along way and needed a room. Boy, did we get one. overlooking the swimming pool which had trash thrown in the empty pit. A little water was in it and a large trash can was floating in it with trash. There were bugs in our room. No remote to TV. No permits for our vehicles. The room was filthy. I am not exaggerating. The beds were like sleeping on a board. Truly, I will never stay again. This place needs new management or someone that cares. The lady working behind desk was smoking and never got off of a stool to come to window. She talked to us from the stool. We ask could we please have a room overlooking at least the street and was told No. I wish I could speak directly to a manager. I am a manager of a company and if people felt this way I would want to know.

Stayed here the last week of Oct. 2006 for 3 nights. I was astounded how filthy the rooms were. The carpets were not clean, peanuts under the dresser. The sheets appeared to be dirty with hair and cigarette ashes on them.

I will say the employees were pleasant, but it appears the hotel is mismanaged and run down. The courtyard was in disarray. The swimming pool was near empty with a garbage can on the bottom. Linens were worn and towels were like sandpaper.

Definitely avoid, if possible!!!
