We stayed at this motel Sept. 6 and 7. I wish we had checked these website reviews ahead of time. We were "walk-ins" , choosing the motel because of its location. The location is very good, right at the edge of the national park and at the same time easy walking to town shops and restaurants. The motel was standard, but not well-maintained, and had a generally soiled look about it, both inside the rooms and along the outside of the building. The only area that seemed to be kept up was the lobby area. Our room was in a very dingy corner -- when we asked to change, this was not allowed. The walls and carpet were stained, there were no chairs (unless you brought in the very grubby resin chair off the balcony), no night table or lamp on one side of the bed, and the air conditioner was very loud when it came on (ours did work). Also, all the appliances in the room were plugged into an alligator extension on one outlet, probably a fire violation. I think our maid was probably better than most, as we did not have the problems with undone cleaning other guests complained of -- the things that were substandard were long-term maintenance things, not that day's cleaning. I would not say this motel was disgusting, but it did appear to be managed with low standards and little attention to detail.
