we stayed Nov.30-Dec2 2007. We stayed with some friends which have been owners for years. The place was very nice and everyone was very friendly. The only problem was we were on the 3rd floor and there are no elevators and in the rooms the walls are very thin and you could hear your neighbors.The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans.This is a very nice and safe place to stay because of the security gate.I would recommend staying here but not becoming a owner.

The place is very nice.. My parents loved the room.. Mandatory sales pitch was terrible.. Guy was nice until I said no, then he was very hateful and spiteful.. It lasted 45 mins., was promised 15-20 though. He almost crashed the golf cart twice. Gatlinburg is a fun place. I'd rent a timeshare, but don't buy.. Thanks

My husband and I booked a weekend stay at the Westgate and had a wonderful experience. The check-in was prompt - with little waiting in line, the gentleman who showed us to and around our home was super, the snack shop on the premises was nice, convenient, and well-stocked (the gentleman working there was quite pleasant as well), and parking was ample. Additionally, they have a yummy pizzeria on-site (that delivers to your room), and the fireplace and hot tub made my stay extra-special. I will definitely return to Westgate!

My husband, mother, and 2 year old son recently booked a hotel in Pigeon Forge with a package that including on the last day of our vacation a 90 minute tour and sales pitch at the Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort. The vacation was fine, but the 90 minutes "no pressure" sales pitch turned into a 3 hour ugly high stress situation. Ended up have 3 people come over to try to sell us after we already said no. No means no and I had told them repeatedly that I needed to get back to my mother and son stuck in a moderate hotel but with no food or drinks. Once they finally got the message, we were rudely told (not shown) where to go to check out , the women at the release desk grabbed our forms and ripped them right in front of us. That was the worse 3 hours of my trip.
Thanks but no thanks Westgate!
