We stayed at this resort for a full week at end of April (very nice weather), We stayed in a One Bedroom Condo, It was beautiful. Fireplace didnt work but maintinance was there in 2 minutes..BEST STAFF EVER HERE!!! The setting was great the room was great, wish it had 1/2 bath at least on top of the full bath. But we saw the 2 and 3 brms (WOW VERY NICE) Studio is very small!! Do the Buffet dinner they offer for 7-8 bucks it shows you some of the attractions they offer its worth it for the meal..The complex is on a hill so call for a ride and they will pick you up in golf carts to take you to the 2 pools/water park/horseback riding..Everything has a cost..all activities and The waterpark is NOT FREE with your stay!!, we were very disappointed in this especially being condo owners. It is not cheap but we watched people just walk in and out the side door and front door without paying or wristbands. (It seemed to be run by a bunch of teenagers who didnt care who came in and out) but the waterpark never had anyone in it maybe 3 families (besides the people walking around touring the complex) using it. Its alot of fun for all. the roof opens up on sunny days it was very nice..Towels are provided for all pools and water park. Food there was good and decently priced. Westgate Complex is very close to Downtown Gatlinburg, mile or so..the shuttle is great use it..just get a color coded schedule so you dont miss it, or else you will wait..!! parking is cramped in Gatlinburg or you pay too much to park, plus your gonna walk the whole time there anyway. Lots of resturaunts there!! Shuttle Stops right at the Aquarium (MUST SEE) and other sites. Drive to Pigeon Forge you need a car there or else you will be waiting your whole trip. Its not a walking town like Gatlinburg. Do the Dixie Stampede dinner show its a blast, Also try to spend 2 days at Dollywood, go after 3 pm get in free the next day..honestly the best amusment park ive been to for small kids and even older ones (mine were 2,3,8,10) at the time and all had a blast. there are small playgrounds for a break for the little ones around every corner, my husband and I just switched off with the kids to ride and the little ones were happy..take bating suits and towels for the waterpark part there (comes with admission to the park)its a blast too!! Food at DW is awesome so many kinds of food vendors, it was great!! Grocery store is about 4 miles away from complex but worth it if you cook and save money. The National PArk is right there. Ask about the ticket deals at the aquarium, saves a dime. ONE OF THE BEST IVE BEEN TOO!! Contact me if any questions..
