At Knights Inn you get more than you pay for.

My wife and I are in our mid 70’s and have visited motels and hotels throughout this country and Mexico.
We are on fixed income and look for places we can afford and can take our small dog (Bichon Frise).
We found Knights Inn in Gatlinburg, TN by stopping at several motels and being turned away because we have the dog. We have been back several times and have found the rooms to be affordable , acceptable and clean enough. The carpet had some age on it but appeared to be clean, sanitized and the room had a clean aroma. We have never seen a single insect inside the room > those who have may have found dead ones from the pest control used in most public places. The heating and cooling system is most sufficient. We had a TV with (I think) 70 or more channels. The beds have always been freshly made with clean bed covers. However, no matter what motel we go to we always take our own mattress cover, bed sheets, pillows and a comforter (we compress into a plastic container). We sanitize the bed and use our own covers. Even the top hotels in Atlanta, NY & LA have been sited for dirty housekeeping. Paul, the housekeeper, has been there for over two years that we know of and has always supplied us with any reasonable request for towels & etc. My wife and I think Knights Inn is UNDERRATED in comparison to the higher priced and higher pet rates charged by other PET FRIENDLY MOTELS in Gatlinburg.

My family stayed in 3 adjoining rooms and they were horrible. There was ten of us in all and two rooms had two towels and the other room had no towels. In one bathroom the hotel staff left a wrench laying in the floor and a box of broken light bulbs. We had small children and it was difficult keeping them away from the glass. On the corner of one of the beds was a sharp metal object protruding from the mattress, which was right next to a walk way. On several other mattresses there was other things sticking out. The floors were not vacuumed, mold on the walls in the bathrooms, mattresses were stained, cracks in the door frames letting in cold air. Ice machine was empty, and looked that way for a long time. Never had any maid service in the three days we stayed there. Needless to say we will never stay there again.

great place to stay large pool pet friendly very nice manager old building clean great view from the rooms with the private balconies the also offer weekly rentals great place to stay when on a tight budget. There rates are the best thru out Gatlinburg they are located just inside Gatlinburg the firs hotel when you are coming from Pigeon Forge you can ride the trolly all over town and not worry about paying for parking. Close enough to enjoy Pigeon forge attractions as well Will be my first choice of places to stay when visiting the Smokey Mountains down to earth and friendly

I booked my stay via triprewards.com; the hotel stated in room hair dryer, iron/board, coffee maker and every room has a balcony with will a view of the river.

Nothing in the room, but a 10 year old TV with 10 channels, a bathroom full of mold, toilet paper covered in some brown stuff and full of dead and live bugs.

When I complained, the hotel staff ignored me and just pointed me to a local store for clorox/cleaning supplies. I checked out early (stayed 6 hrs) and I was charged for 3 nights. I have contacted the hotel manager and triprewards and I am getting the run around. Now working with BBB.com to get my money back. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL, I would have had a better stay in a public out house attached to a construction site.

Save your money and heath, stay else where.
