After reading the reviews on trip advisor, we decided to stay at the Johnson's Inn. We booked a deluxe king room for 3 nights. The staff was very friendly. The check-in was quick. Our room had two TV's, a king bed, a sleeper sofa, a fireplace, an icemaker, a kitchenette with bar stools, a microwave, and a refrigerator. The room was very clean with fresh linens and towels provided each day. The room also had a balcony overlooking a small creek and sitting area. It was a very short walk to the side entrance to the Village. The only drawback was the pool location, across the street (Bishop Lane) from the main complex. If you are looking for a clean, quiet, and enjoyable stay in Gatlinburg, I would recommend this hotel. It is very affordable, and you get numerous amenities for the money. In my opinion, this hotel is better than some of the others on the main strip, and I would definitely stay here again in the future.
