Although the rooms were large, and on first appearance clean, the ants came in huge numbers. We stayed 2 days, and complained on the first day. They said they called the extermantor. We never saw any evidence that any one was in our room and the ants ( and another bug that I think was a centipede) never went away. We talked to the manager and they gave us another number to call. Pass the buck? I talked to other guest and they had the same problem. A cleaning lady said that they have been having problems with ants all summer. Wish I would have known before I stayed there!

We've stayed here twice (in 2000 and 2002) and both times we were quite happy with the hotel. Even being that the hotel is older and less modern, we were very pleased with our accomodations and the prices.
The Front Desk staff was pleasant and helpful, our rooms were immaculate, and even though it was a smoking room, it did not smell of stale smoke... very nice! We loved that we could take an evening stroll downtown and leave our car behind as we enjoyed the sights. Would definitely stay here again!

Although hotel was an older hotel it was a decent price but it could really do with some new renovation. Room was big but the carpet was very dirty.

We stayed at the Best Western the third week of May,2004,and while it was an older motel,it was sastisfactory for the price I paid.The room was very clean and looked like it had been updated some recently.Housekeeping was quick and very well done.Had a nice outdoor pool which was clean,and not overloaded with chlorine.Over all when you take into consideration the age of the building,and the amount of use it gets each year,the place is in pretty good shape.And the spring rates are about as low as you can get for a decent motel in the middle of town.If your going to be out all day sight seeing,and not worried about a lot of amenities,the Crossroads would be a good bet.
