The way people around here rave about this place, I was expecting something special the first time I tried it. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but I found the food way overpriced and surprisingly bland. Some of the items on the menu sound like they'll be yummy, but they actually fall flat. The only exception I found were the phyllo triangles appetizer. Very flavorful -- $7 for just two? I know they're labor intensive, but geeze. I even went a second time just in case they were having a bad night. But still blah. I'd recommend the new brick oven pizza place in Hilldale, Cafe Port Alba, instead, or maybe Eno Vino on the far west side.
