I stayed at the Inn on Bourbon from June 12-16. It is a perfect location and very central to everything. I must agree if your interested in sleeping it is not for you. I didn't plan on sleeping so it was perfect.

Housekeeping could use a better system. We seemed to get "missed" and had to ask that paper and towels be brought up to us. Not a big deal, we just did a quick tidy.

The air conditioning wasn't all that great, but they were quick to come check it out for us. The hotel was booked solid and we could not be moved but we werereinbursed some of our bill due to the problems.

The staff were nice and accomidating, overall it was a great stay. I am looking forward to staying at this location again.

“Great for Night Owls!!”

Ramada Plaza Hotel - Inn on Bourbon

My husband and I and another couple each stayed in a standard king room for the weekend. The location of the hotel was wonderful - right on Bourbon Street in the middle of the French Quarter. Our rooms were on the 4th floor just above the balcony rooms that look out Bourbon street. Do NOT expect peace and quiet all night. There are lots of people coming and going all night long and since we also got in late every night the hotel was great. A trick our friends discovered for a little more quiet (the bar across the street is not quiet until around 3 or 4 in the morning) is turn the a/c fan on high. It really muffled the street noise. The a/c wasn't as cool as we had hoped, but it was really hot already for June. Since we are from South MS we are a little more tolerant of this situation. The staff was friendly, accommodating our request to be on the same floor as our friends. The room was clean overall and the bed was very comfortable even for my husband who is a big guy. The lobby is really nice and is a comfortable place to sit and drink a Hurricane from Pat O'Brien's.
One disappointment- no 'fridge or microwave.

“The Perfect Stay!”

What a wonderful place to stay in the French Quarter!

The location...if you want to stay in the middle of all the action...can't be beat. The staff, especially Larry the concierge, was beyond excellent. Larry was as genuine as can be, and really helped us settle in for our stay. The front desk staff was also very pleasant. I had booked the cheapest room available, figuring we weren't going to be staying indoors much anyway. When the girl at the front desk saw which room I had booked, she insisted on upgrading us to a larger room for free. She stated the room I had booked was very small, and she knew we would not be comfortable in it. She didn't have to do that, but she went out of her way and it made our stay that much better.

As for the room, it was perfect for a three-night visit. We had plenty of room to move around, it was clean and in good repair, and the bed was probably one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in.

We didn't dine in the hotel (except for a bagel in the morning), but we did take advantage of the pool area one afternoon. So relaxing! There were only a couple other people out there, and we were able to truly relax and enjoy the facilities. If you stay here, you must spend a little time relaxing by the pool!

I would highly recomment the Inn on Bourbon to anyone staying in New Orleans. We will definitely be back.

“charged me for someone else's mess!”

The hotel was fine until the charge cleared my banking account. They charged me an additional $75 for deep cleaning. There was an obnoxiously large, bright red stain at the foot of the bed, and my friend noticed it upon arrival. He even commented on the mess. We dismissed it, and continued our vacation. We spent a minimal amount of time in the room, and absolutely had nothing to do with a stain. I spoke to multiple clerks and they told me that I made the mess. I did nothing to mess up that hotel room, and I refuse to have someone tell me that I did...WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE

“Reasonably priced hotel”

Ramada Plaza Hotel - Inn on Bourbon

24 May 2008

If you want to be right in the middle of the action, this is the place for you. It is right on Bourdon Street, and is centrally located in the French Quarter. Since all the bars and music clubs on Bourdon Street are a hop and skip away from this hotel, you can hear all the noise from the street in the room (if your room is on the street side). Otherwise, for the price, this hotel is reasonable and clean for the rate of $74 a night. If you want a quiet hotel away from the partying scene, this is not the hotel for you.

P.S. They also have a nice pool.
