Its an excellent place to stay. I found the hotel extremely clean. the hotels elevator require keys to access making them safe althought he surrounding area is safe, staff is extremely friendly. rooms are nicely decorated. only flip side is pool. if you are looking for a good swimming pool then you may not like it. Breakfast is ok. comlimentary drink in evening comes as bonus. overall a perfect place to stay and complete value for money.

“We LOVED this hotel!”

Drury Inn & Suites New Orleans

20 Jul 2008

Great hotel, great location. Very clean, comfortable beds, very elegant . . . Ceilings were 12 ft tall with beautiful draperies. Breakfast buffet very good and welcome reception at 5:30 pm with free coctails and appetizers was nice. My 2 teenage kids loved swimming on the roof top pool at night. Overlooked the city. This hotel is very convenient as it is in walking distance to the French Qtr, Bourbon St, Riverwalk, Superdome, etc. $15.00 parking fee at the hotel is reasonable. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Look at TRAVELOCITY for a great price!

“Good place to stay if you don't want to spend a lot”

My family of 4 stayed here for one night in New Orleans. We were looking for a nice place that was near major tourist attractions and didn't cost a lot - as we were just passing through on the way to our vacation. This Drury worked out nicely.

It was easy to find from I-10 - near the SuperDome and close enough to French Quarter that we could walk - even in the heat of July. Having said that, I did have the impression that it was closer. We walked to Canal St and the Riverwalk - several blocks and then worked our way back through a couple of FQ streets to find a spot for dinner. It was a LOT of walking. After dinner, we caught a cab (for less than $10) back to the hotel.
We spent the evening in the rooftop pool. It was fairly small, but adequate.

Our room had beautiful tall windows and ceilings, making quite a first impression. The beds were comfortable. The parking lot side of the building was rather loud because of the frequent passing by of the streetcar (this streetcar went to the Garden District, I think).
Parking was $15 - a bargain compared to most of the hotels I looked at, and it was self park. You needed your room key to get in/out of the lot, but could come and go as you please. Much easier than valet, in my opinion.

Breakfast was nothing special. We found the area crowded and the selection very limited. We ate a small bite and stopped at Cafe du Monde for beignets later in the morning.

We would stay here again under the same circumstances, but if you are planning a longer stay or want a hotel with more of a NO feel, Le Pavillion is right across the street and is beautiful. Hotel Monteleone was a little closer to things and was the most beautiful hotel I saw.

We paid an internet price of approx $80 (+tax) and $15 for parking.

From the beginning, the hotel staff and facilities were top notch. The hotel is beautiful and only 4 blocks from Canal and Bourbon in a good part of town. The St Charles street car stops right next to the hotel for those of you that do not want to walk… or can’t walk without stumbling. The street cars were still running at 2:00am when we were making our way back to the hotel. Five Stars in my book!!

The location is very close to the French Quarter and easily accessible from I-10. The check-in process was very quick and simple and exceeded only by the even quicker check-out. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable (with real feather pillows !!!!!!).

The evening drinks and snacks were a very nice addition since we checked in right as they were being served. The breakfast served the next morning was very good quality. We will most definitely stay again and look forward to it!
