Just returned from NOLA. Dined @ Olivier's on 4-5-08.Didn't have us down for a reservation that I had made over the phone 5 days earlier. We were still able to get a table after a short wait. No seated bar service, so we had to go" next door" for a drink while we waited. They did come to get us when the table was ready. Gumbo average. Rabbit dish below average. Had to send food back to the kitchen, arrived at the table luke warm...not hot. Wonderful house salad dressing! Definetly the highlight of the meal. Only 2 choices for dessert. Warm peach cobbler, very good. Service was pleasant. Small place, tables very close together. Overall not that bad, but I would have a hard time recommending to friends. Brigtsens was far SUPERIOR!!!!

The food was great here. The best meal I had when I was in New Orleans.

Price was great when compared to other restaurants in the area. Service was superb. The owner noticed that I was cold and told me he didn't want to see me uncomfortable so he turned off the ceiling fans. The ambience was very nice. The food was to die for. I had the crab and salmon patties and they were delicious. Be sure to have their house dressing on your salad, a bit hot (spicy) but really different. I loved everything about this place.

The food here is fantastic and the ambience is great. Small and intimate, everything was good, but I highly suggest the Crawfish Etouffee and the fried oyster appetizer.
