My wife & one year old daughter booked this hotel through recommendation by my brother in law who is from New Orleans. A good choice! Booked through Jetsetter and got a reasonable rate on average of $136 per night, monday to Friday during memorial day week. Requested a crib and the Jetsetter team accommodated our request. Upon arrival, check in was simple. The main entrance does not have a ramp, so entering and exiting was a minor chore with a stroller. We found out a few days later that you can avoid it by entering through the garage via ramps. When we got to the room, the crib was there and to our surprise, and my daughters delight, there was a mountain lion stuffed animal in the crib. She fell in love with it instantly. We never saw her hug and kiss any of the stuffed animals at home. Such a great bonus for our daughter.
We were given a room on the 12th floor. The room was small, but not a problem because we were not really spending too much time in there. Bathroom was not small in my opinion, as other reviews claimed. We were on a floor high enough not to hear any of the riff raf of Bourbon Street.
Location is great! In the middle of everything. The carousel bar looks very nice. We did not get to use the roof top pool, but took a peak. It is very nice. We would have enjoyed it if we spent more time in NOLA.
Overall, we had a good experience. We did not really interact with the staff too much. Just some directions and bag check ins. Thumbs up to thiis elegant and historic feeling hotel.
