The wife and I stayed here with our pooch on a Thanksgiving trip up to St. Louis. The hotel was fine, staff friendly, grounds and room clean, check-in and check-out fine, and so on. It was basically what I would expect from a Residence Inn. The area right around the hotel was very quiet traffic wise. It appears to be mostly office buildings and undeveloped land for office buildings. I guess the place is right next to I-75, but we didn’t really notice. We would definitely stay here again.
**** Pay very close attention to the address when looking for directions to this place. It’s on George Busbee Drive. For some reason, Google Maps directed us to George Busbee Parkway, thinking it was GB Drive. But who’s going to notice that at 12:30 in the morning after an 8 hr drive. The two roads do intersect each other though, but again, who would notice. After driving around the area for a while we called the hotel and the night manager gave us directions. She said that GPSs do the same thing all the time. ****
Anyway, this place being dog friendly was nice and was a major reason for us stopping here, but the $100 cleaning fee was a bit steep. My wife wanted to stay at a Residence Inn because she loves the waffle makers (the other reason for staying here), so I dutifully made the reservation. They didn’t have any particular pet rules, just the fee. They did have poop bags and trash cans for them in a couple of places on the property. And, the area right around the hotel was fine for a nice morning walk.
As to the breakfast, it was the basic eggs and sausage with assorted other things, nothing overly spectacular (I’m not that big on waffles). I’m not sure if there’s a standard RI breakfast setup, but I do know that the RI in Plantation has a nicer one.
