“Just OK”

There is a lot of hype around this restaurant, but the food is just OK. I had the seven flavor beef, mongolian noodles, tofu, salmon satay, pot stickers and buddha rolls. Every single dish was mediocre. The best thing I could say about any of them is that the tofu texture was good (usually people cook tofu too long and it ruins them). The prices are too high and portions too small for the type of food that they serve. For example, the satays are charged by the piece. So, one satay (four little pieces of chicken/fish) are 6.75, etc.

The acoustics are horrible in this restaurant. I was sitting at a table for four and I could barely make out what anybody was saying because of the noise.

It was packed when I went (dinner on a Tuesday night) so make a reservation. You can make reservations of 2 to 4 people on their website, but must call for any parties bigger than that.

It is very close (walkable) from the Westin.

It took a very long time for the main dishes to come out.

Everything is family style.

There are a lot of great restaurants in Seattle; I would skip this one.

Fantastic asian fusion food. Large round tables are too big to talk to other guests though.

Best Ahi Tuna and my favorite wine ever. The Walnut City Wineworks Pino Gris is awesome, and this is the only place I can find it. I love the Spring Rolls.

Wild Ginger, for us, lived up to its reputation/ratings. Including 2 beers, appetizer and 2 entrees, the bill was $52. We had the crab cakes - fabulous sauce, fragrant duck - the skin was the best part (smaller portion), and seven flavor beef (full portion). . The last was spiced and cooked to perfection - the lemongrass, ginger, basil, and garlic has us wanting to go back again before we leave Seattle. Web site has their lunch and dinner menus, so we were already to order before we left Wisconsin :)
