The Hampton is getting dated, but isn't too bad a place to stay. If, though, you they try to give you a room numbered 111 or lower, get another or go elsewhere. The pool is across from those rooms and the noise and chlorine smell are simply unacceptable if you plan on going to sleep before 10 pm.

Be prepared to take a little longer checking in than you might expect, and review your bill closely before checking out. Many of the staff are new and, as trainees will, they make more than their share of mistakes.

This was a great hotel. I used to live in Anchorage and stayed at the Hamptonn Inn and Suites as a cheap getaway. The room was very nice and quiet. We paid $39.00 dollars. That was actually walking into the hotel and asking if they had anything available. Great bargain. It is right there at Tudor and C street near the middle of everything. There are some restaurants right across the street. I highly reccommend this hotel to anyone wanting quality and value without paying horrendous prices.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn at the end of March. The property is dated but the staff is nice and there is a shuttle that will take you anywhere in the city. They had yummy fresh cookies every day at 4, a decent business center and the breakfast was enjoyable. It could have had a little more variety (had same hot entrees every day) but overall, it met our expectations perfectly. The beds were comfy and the room was clean. Overall, we would recommend the property to those visiting the Anchorage area.
