“Loved the VIEW”

Alaskan Leopard Bed and Breakfast

18 Mar 2008

All our friends in Ohio thought we were crazy to go to Alaska in Feb. but the weather was better than at home. We booked our stay with the owners and they could not have been more helpful!!!
We wanted to see the Northern Lights and they told us the best time and place. Tom and Bobbie arranged a flight seeing trip to Mt. Denali, it was just like National Geo. We got to watch the start of the Iditarod and talk to the musher from Ohio, but the best part was a dream come true. They arranged for us to tour a sled dog kennel and we got to drive our own team!!! Tom and Bobbie made us feel very welcome, they even invited us to have dinner with them to celebrate the safe return of a friend from Iraq. We had our own private room and bath and shared a lounge with the other guests. The view of the mountains from their deck was awesome. Every morning breakfast was a feast I could never finish all of it, I loved the stuffed sourdough pancakes and the reindeer sausage. My husband and I can't wait to return. Mark and Denise

Had a wonderful stay at the Alaskan Leopard. Arrived late after a long flight and had a little trouble finding it, even though they give excellent directions. We were tired and the roads were very dark at times.

Accommodations, bed, linens, etc were all great. The room was a little tight with all of our luggage, but certainly manageable. The breakfast was extravagant, have never had a similar breakfast at a B&B. Tried one of their specialty pancakes which was superb. Tom & Bobbie are great host. I would highly recommend the Leopard.

I just spent an all too short 8 days in Alaska. I traveled with a small group of friends and we stayed at the Alaskan Leopard our first 3 and last nights. I would highly recommend it.
The rooms are very nice with comfy beds. The best parts for me however, were the beautiful views from the decks and common room, and the wonderful breakfasts.
Each guests breakfast was cooked to order. They will make you all the usual items, but the Leopard has about a half dozen specialty breakfast entrees that really should not be missed. My personal favorite was the stuffed french toast. I forget what they called it, but it was delightful. My only regret was that I couldn't quite finish it all.
Tom and Bobby are wonderful hosts and have a wealth of knowledge about Alaska.
Our group used their travel service, Leopard Trax, to arrange our entire Alaskan itinerary. We told them what we hoped to see, and they set the whole thing up including lodging and side excursions. They also provided us with a detailed itinerary which included good directions, restaurant suggestions, and additional ideas for things to do or see along our route. Our routing took us through some very scenic country that we would have missed by miles if we had planned the trip ourselves.
The Alaskan Leopard would be my first choice for lodging in Anchorage. I'm sure I'll be back.

Our family of four (myself, my husband, and 2 adult sons) had the pleasure of staying at the Alaskan Leopard for one night on our way from Seward to Denali. Tom and Bobbie were lovely hosts and made us feel welcome in their beautiful home. We stayed in the Grand Alaska Suite. Both bedrooms were artfully and tastefully decorated; cozy warm comforters, fine linen, and wonderful towels were just a few of the many ways the Alaskan Leopard provided all the comforts of home. Although the suite was spacious, we spent much of our free time in the guests' family room (complete with internet access) allowing us even more 'leg room' while we relaxed. The gardens were gorgeous and only added to the beautiful sunset we watched on the horizon. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious, so very filling, and prepared just as requested. Not only do we hope to return to the Alaskan Leopard one day, we also hope to travel with Tom & Bobbie on one of their personally created adventures available through their travel agency, Leopard Trax!

We rented the entire property for our group and had a truly wonderful time. Although we weren't able to always partake of the daily breakfasts, when we did, we were treated to a delightful, varied menu that never left us hungry. On those days when we were "on the road", the hosts provided us with ample travel food so that we were well fed as we traveled about. Both of our hosts made us feel very welcome and although, understandably, they protected their own spaces, we never once felt that we were anything other than guest in their home. They were quick to offer travel advise and even allowed us to hitch a ride downtown when the rental car that too many obligations. Conversation was open and interesting - a remarkable time. We wouldn't hesitate to return. Thank you Tom and Bobbie.
