Came up to Anchorage to visit family and just needed a place to rest my head, shower and relax.

The accomodations were what I expected for the money, the part of the motel I was in was recently redone and was all good. The room was clean and it was quiet. The staff that I encountered were all friendly and helpful.

The only drawback to this motel was there is no elevator, I was booked on the 3rd floor and having packed for an extended stay it was a struggle lugging my luggage around.

Used the shuttle to and from the airport and was pleased with the promptness of both being picked up and being delivered back to the airport.

The stay there was not really that bad. The bed was comfortable, and the air conditioner worked very well. The housekeeping staff needs to learn how to clean better, though. I had a pillowcase that had a stain that was easy to spot (it was made by me. Not given dirty linens). I had told them that I wanted my linens changed 3 times after making the stain, and every time it was not changed. After notifying the people at the front desk, my room was cleaned VERY well. The internet that is offered by them was out of service for a whole week, and I also notified them of this, but I was just told that they were working on it every day, and it was still not working on the day that I left.

Good Points: Room was clean, affordable, staff was helpful.

Bad Points: Only one washcloth in room, toilet leaked water, horrible parking, had to carry luggage up a flight of stairs, still a lot of money to pay for what you get during the busy season.

Would I stay there again? No. I'd pay a little more and get a better place.

The Red Roof Inn in anchorage was a very affordable room. The room was clean and staff was very nice. Alot cheaper than other places in Anchorage. I would stay there again. The only thing that was bad there was having to carry all our luggage up 3 flights of stairs. There is no elevators. Next time I will request room on 1st floor. Other than a descent place to get some sleep
