This is one Hotel you don't want to stay in. Its dirty and the staff doesn't seem to care. Tent camping would be better. Now I know why all the other Hotels were booked and this one wasn't. They charge a 5 star price, with a less than 1 star rating.

This Ramada is not in the nicest area of Anchorage. It was very outdated and dingy. There is a Chinese buffet inside the hotel (weird!). The staff was fairly friendly. The worst part about our stay were the guests next door "getting it on" ALL NIGHT. It was DISGUSTING.

This is the Ramada on Muldoon, not the one downtown. When I booked this Ramada, I didn't realize how far away from the airport it actually was. Due to traffic, it took almost an hour to get to the hotel via the shuttle. The hotel is literally on the other side of Anchorage in a shady part of town. It's very far from downtown and not known for its restaurants. We ate chinese in the hotel's restaurant and it was okay. Other guests had various opinions from bad to great. There were a few burns in the sheets, but other than that, appeared very clean and comfortable. The ladies at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. If you don't want to spend a lot of money and don't care about being far away from downtown or the airport, this is a good, economical choice. Plus, they offer a complimentary breakfast with eggs, bacon, fruit, etc.
Room quality - poor. Linens OLD, burned holes in comforter, etc, etc.
Housekeeping - poor. Enough layers of dust, to write a comment.
Wireless internet - sometimes. Don't plan on working or staying in touch w/the office from your hotel room. I booked the "upgraded for business" - and got a desk for that extra amount, but not access to HS Internet, that I needed.
Hotel had a sign in lobby, that guest must register their visitors. There was a lot of off the street traffic, to use the “pay phone”. Desk had no way of knowing or controlling who was and was not staying at the hotel. As a woman, traveling alone, I never felt safe enough to open the windows at night.
Complaining - useless.

The staff were ALL VERY HELPFUL, polite and efficient - it's a shame the place has a grungy feel to it. The carpeting is generally dirty and well-worn; the room colors are a dated and depressing brown/cream. The location is crappy - 5 miles from downtown, on a very busy road with mixed, unattractive commercial property - including a Macdonalds next door with a drive through next to our window! All of the front facing rooms suffer from the traffic noise, and the rear rooms look out onto a parking lot with an old trailer, and what look like abandoned cars.
We had to wait an hour for the room to be "cleaned" even though we checked in after 4pm. That night we found that the sheets had not been changed - they delivered clean sheets but we had to change them ourselves. One bed had a blanket with a cigarette burn (non-smoking room), the other a blanket with a 3" whole in it. The two drawer dresser had serious water damage to the base, and sat on a rug ( with ripples ) that was so dirty we made our son wash his feet each time he forgot to use his flip-flops. There was plenty of food available for the included breakfast, but don't be late - they LOCK the door at 5 or 6 minutes to 9.
My opinion may be influenced by the fact that we stayed here immediately after coming off a 7 day cruise from Vancouver! What a let down.
