Decent suite hotel within easy walking distance of a lot of downtown sites. Very similar room layout to the Hawthorne Suites, but this place seemed more worn. The desk was very friendly and service was quick. The breakfast buffet was very crowded and when things ran out they were not replaced very quickly at all. All in all a fair deal for the price.

Although the suites were spacious and well furnished, I was rather disappointed with the lack of overall upkeep (e.g. the pool was not adequately heated). The location - further from the main tourist shopping area than other hotels - may be a factor to consider for some.

We ended up at the Clarion Suites quite by accident. We had actually checked into a different hotel, paid, and when we saw our room we promptly left! (Having made reservations over the internet, we didn't know what that hotel was like until we got there - turned out to be in a very bad neighborhood.)We drove around checking hotels for vacancies, and finally came across the Clarion. The staff was so very friendly, and after hearing what had happened with our other hotel even gave us a slight discount on the rate. The room was what you'd expect from a suites hotel, very nice and roomy. Their shuttle driver was curtious and prompt, and overall we had a very good experience.This was the first time we had stayed in a Clarion Suites, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
