Granted, we probably had the worst room in the place, ground floor at the back overlooking an area of bare soil and the wall of a villa. To our left was an old olive grove inhabited by cockerels that struck up at 3 am, joined by the high pitched cacophony from the local dogs, which even the double glazing failed to mask. I agree with 'battleaxe' about the size of room, he was lucky though, ours did have the twin beds pushed together with timber edges separating them. We found the beds hard, so much so I got into the habit of taking pain killers at 3.30am when wakened by the noise and paced around the tiny room before trying to get a few more hours sleep. The bedding was disgusting - yellow stained or grey with age. We had hot water just twice in a week, most of the time there was no difference between the hot and cold. I agree with IBass regarding their description of the pool are, I noticed the uncovered manholes on the pool edge, which with such limited walking space looked like an accident waiting to happen. I had read the bad reviews before booking but was swayed by the number of good ones - which puts the whole business of review reading a lottery in my opinion.
