Planned a short, overnight trip to visit Lincoln Presidential Library/Museum and other historic sites. Found good price, including full hot breakfast through travel websites, and booked through Hilton's site.
Additional comments made at on-line reservation were followed to a tee!
Friendly staff, very efficient check-in/check-out, clean, comfortable room, easy access off Interstate highway, good access to a variety of restraurants.

Well, I am pleased to say that I finally found a pet free, clean and professional hotel in Springfield, Il. Thank Goodness, I was wondering if one existed. the Hilton Garden Inn had large clean and well appointed rooms with all the conviniences. They also have a complimentary 24 hour business center with internett and Fed Ex support for last minnute needs (which I found useful). They have a fitness center and an inside pool on the property as well. The staff was teriffic too. Thanks.

My experience with the HGI Springfield was terrific! I first contacted the sales office to book rooms for my wedding and was so impressed with the service that I also ended up doing my rehearsal dinner there too.

The food was great, prices were reasonable, staff was attentive, and they even set up a special personal web page with photos and info about my wedding. Very cool! I had never seen this before.

I came here on business, and found the hotel to be an excellent choice. I was a bit worried at first because the rate was significantly lower than similar properties on the South Side of town (Hampton Inn, Staybridge Suites, Courtyard). The hotel was just as nice - had an excellent restaurant (although there are about 15 choices of restaurants within walking distance. The refrigerator/microwave were good, homemade nightly cookies excellent, the free business center was also excellent. My only minor complaint was that due to a bus group, there was no room in the restaurant for breakfast one of the mornings of my 5 day stay. One of my co-workers stayed at the Hampton Inn down Dirksen Pkwy was disappointed and moved to the Hilton Garden Inn and was very pleased as well.
