The Stevenson Inn is definitly a bargain stay, with no frills. Travelers should know that there are no in room "amenities", such as a hairdryer, an iron, or an alarm clock. There is bar soap and some packets of strange shampoo, but that is all. Our room was clean and cleaned each of the 3 days we were there. The room we stayed in was not particularly updated and the bathtub, while clean, wasn't too inviting. There were a multitude of TV channels, but on the whole it is a good hotel to stay in if you are not planning on spending much time actually at the hotel.

The TV channel selection was great especiall the HBO. The service was good as well. One thing I found strange was that although the rooms are cheap the owner is seemingly rich becuase I saw im roll up in a Mercedes once and a BMW when i was here a few years back.

I enjoyed my stay at this inn. My stay was quiet, the rooms were modern and clean, and the staff was pleasant and very customer oriented. Great location near restaurants and shopping as well. Front desk clerks were very knowledgable about Springfield and major streets along with tourist attractions. Contiential breakfast was standard of any economy or midpriced motel. Coffee was leaded and great! Finally, there channel lineup was plentiful! ( I counted 55 channels plus HBO).
