This is my second stay at this hotel. I am a business travelor and a Starwood elite member. The first time I stayed, I thought it was grungy for a Sheraton, but I had no other choice because of the location of my meeting. I had to visit a second time and I was attacked by bed bugs in the middle of the night. I was only there for one night, and the next morning, my entire body was covered in red welts that only grew bigger as time passed.
I have delt with bed bugs before while I was in college. A student a few doors down had bed bugs and they travelled from her room to many others. From that experience, I know how terrible it can be to possibly have one "hitch a ride" on your suitcase and go home with you. BELIEVE ME, you DO NOT WANT TO TAKE BED BUGS HOME. You'll have to throw away furniture, get an exterminater to come multiple times, and leave your home for hours or days.. and you'll still have to buy all new furniture. Don't stay at this hotel, or if you do, make sure you check the mattress and behind the headboard.

Bed bugs, which are common in Europe, are an increasing problem across the United States for all Hotels at all levels, Select Service, Full Service and Luxury. When the Hotel recieved the report of the bed bug problem, the room was inspected and treated by an Exterminator who is specifically trained to handle this. Rooms were inspected on each side, above, below and across the hall of this guest room with no infestation found. Although mattresses and box springs can be treated, the hotel chose the conservative approached and bagged these items and took them to a landfill. The key for any Hotel is too react quickly and have specifically trained professionals treat the area, which is what we did.
