We ate dinner here last week, it was our third time here in the past two years. I don't get the positive reviews about this place, we tried again based on these reviews but won't go back.
First of all the place needs some work, it looks old to me. We tried sitting at one of the booths for privacy but had to move because the wooden seats were so uncomfortable.
The food is very bland and basic. This time I had the chicken which was supposed to be spit roasted, but was so pale looking it was unattractive. No flavour at all, and the sauce seemed like it was from a powder mix. The rice and kale on the side were plain. My husband ordered the veal dish from the choice of entrees which are meant to be a three course meal for $49. He was not that hungry so he just ordered the one dish. It also came with plain rice and kale. When we got the bill we were surprised that they charged $29 for this dish, so not worth it. We dine out regularly and pay higher prices for nice restaurants, it was not about the price but rather the poor quality.
This place is resting on it's laurels. There are better places around.
