It is more than the warmth and beauty of the house itself, which was built in 1854 in the Federal style, will all of the commensurate charm and allure of a building so fine that it is listed on the National Historic Registry. If fireplaces and wide board pine floors evoke a sense of home and welcome, the Applebutter Inn will resonate with you.
It s more than the exquisite breakfast fare that the Innkeepers, Michael Pacht and Barbara Barry prepare for their guests. There is always fresh fruit, there are always freshly baked muffins, there is always a breakfast offering that goes well beyond what you might ever expect to show up on your plate in the morning, and it is always served with graciousness.
I think what makes this Inn truly exceptional, are the Innkeepers.
Barbara and Michael and warm, compassionate, intelligent, and thoughtful hosts. They welcome you into their home and seemingly without effort make you feel cared for.
There is nothing we would change about The Applebutter Inn, and are looking forward to Visit Nø 6.
