What a wonderful place. The colors throughout the building give it a very fresh feeling! We had never stayed at a B&B prior to this and I was not sure what to expect. The bedroom was very comfy, the food was great.... all organic, and we were treated awesome. I will be sure to stay there again and I will recommend friends and family to stay at The Woodstocker Inn. Sorry it has taken me so long too write this review.
Thanks,
Beth & Aron Kerr

We had a wonderful, restful stay at the Woodstocker last weekend. We had been years before under different management. We loved it the first time, but Dora and David have transformed the Woodstocker into an oasis of European chic in the midst of Woodstock. We arrived on Friday afternoon and were very warmly greeted. D and D stike the perfect balance of warmth, providing excellent conversation and hospitality, but knowing when you desire peace and privacy. They thoughtfully provide slippers for guests, so there is no worry of trekking in puddles brought in from the snow. The rooms are lushly appointed with flat screen tvs, a selection of great CDs/and DVDs are available as well as loads of books in the beautiful library.
Robes are provided as well as green products in the bathrooms (they are commited to being a green B and B).
We stayed in one of the more traditional rooms (which we loved!) but got to see some of the showstopping rooms that come with AMAZING light-up bathtubs (check out the pics on the website).
The colors and decor of the inn are equally bold and sophisticated as well as restful. There is a sense of humor and whimsy in the decor that is a welcome change from the chintz/Victorian standard of most B and Bs.
Equally great is the spare kitchen off the library where one can help themselves to 24-hour coffee, tea, and snacks...yum! They will also galdly make any dinner reservations for you, if need be.
And finally, a word about the breakfast. Delicious! Organic granola, fruit, and yogurt...bagels, breads, jams and juices along with a cooked to order hot breakfast. The eggs were scrumptious and accompanied by some of the best sausage I have ever eaten!
All in all, we had a restful, romantic weekend. We would return to the Woodstocker in a heartbeat!

This was my second visit to the utterly unique Woodstocker Inn. Last time I went in late summer, this time I wanted snow - I am a Scot exiled in the far south of England! And oh did I get snow - absolutely feet of it and it was bitterly cold. But the temperature inside was delicious and the welcome from the owners of the Inn, Dora Foschi and David Livesley, even warmer. My airline managed to mislay my bag - for five days as it eventually turned out - so I arrived with only the clothes I stood up in and no toiletries or medication and no tartan outfit to bring in the New Year! David and Dora immediately supplied all necessary tooth paste and brush, soap, moisture cream etc etc and huge amounts of sympthy and coffee. They were tireless in their badgering of the airline over the next few days and took me to buy replacement clothes (I am very large so not that easy to dress!) - we didn't succeed in the tartan department but at least I was warm and clean.
The Inn is a place of constant delight - amazing baths and showers, huge and delicious breakfasts, and the library which is where I spent a great deal of my time, Stanley the resident hound at my feet and a slice of fruit cake to munch while browsing. Dora and David are lively companions should you wish conversation, discrete if you do not.
I had my snow and I did indeed return to the UK completely chilled out. I can't recomment The Woodstocker Inn highly enough for a unique and happy and theraputic stay.

Absolutely wonderful Bed and Breakfast. A home away from home. Inn keepers were lively and excellent. Very comfortable rooms which make you feel like you are in your own home.

Breakfast very good.

The Woodstocker is a bright, lovely home a block or so from downtown Woodstock. There's a brightly-lit library with an easy chair, 24-hour-a-day tea and coffee, a beautiful old dog and the friendliest of owners. Breakfast is home made. If a B&B is a place to avoid all that sterile generica then the Woodstocker is a perfect B&B. This is a comfortable, friendly B&B in a nice Vermont town.
