As a family we used to visit Cromer Country Club over 20 years ago on 6 or so different occasions. My sister and I have just got back from a return visit there after about 15 years and we loved it as much as we did back then. It has not changed very much in all that time which is a good thing, is doesn't look old or dated but clean and tidy. We stayed in a studio apartment and found it perfect for us. It was very clean and comfortable and even though we could hear our upstairs neighbours it wasn't a problem. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful in a genuine way. The food in the restaurant was lovely, as was the take away. The pool was very clean and the changing facilities were excellent. The shop is small but there is a 'Spa' about 5 minutes walk away.
We walked to Cromer along the cliffs and beach and then back through the town, eating fresh cockles on the way, delicious. We would recommend Cromer Country club to anyone and we look forward to returning.

We arrived at the Country club to be told that there was no apartment for us, and we were told, quite rudely, that we would have to pay an extra £40 per night for a bigger one, or go elsewhere. It was a problem with the internet bookings, and they could not contact me. As I had booked with Expedia, and had given my details I did not believe them. They offered to find alternative accomodation locally, but as it was the height of summer in a popular resort, they would be unlikely to find anything. We had to settle for £20 extra per night (after much complaining), but as we were due at a wedding could not afford to waste time. The lesson is to call ahead a couple of days before arrival, and make sure you will be accomodated.

The apartment (a 2 bed) itself was clean, and had all amenities; fully kitted kitchen, flat screen TV with Freeview, 2 bathrooms etc. The Ziggurat style accomodation gave a large terrace on which you could sit. You could hear your neighbours through the walls, so this could be of some concern, and we weren't able to park very close to our apartment, 2 long steep flights of steps had to be climbed each time.

The resort itself was nice, athough a little dated in parts; the pool is child free before 9am and after 7pm, the shop is very small, some milk, candy, and a couple of toys. Access to the beach is via steps down the cliff.

We spent most time in Cromer (10 minutes drive away) at the beach, where there are plenty of restaurants, ice cream, arcades etc, which suited us with small children as there was plenty to do.

After our initial debacle we finally managed to enjoy our time at Cromer Country Club, and wished we had stayed longer.

Me and my boyfriend have just recently stayed at the Cromer Country Club for a long weekend. When we arrived at our villa we were amazed to find it was brand new! A fully refurbished kitchen bathroom etc.

The food in the Bar and Restaurant was lovely as were the staff.

On one of the evenings we decided to go out in to town for a meal we went for an indian called Dyla Spice -would recommend this it was great.

We also visited the beach and walked along the pier that was lovely.

Only bad point was that all apartments are supposed to inlcude a hair dryer, for some reason there wasn't one in ours. I informed reception and they got me one but not until the following day. It wasn't a major issue as i went to the swimming pool changing rooms and used the hair dryers there.

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at Cromer Country Club. We booked a 1 bedroomed apartment through bookings.com at a very reasonable £55 per night. We were able to check in before the specified 4pm. The check in staff were friendly and efficient. Our apartment was spacious, spotless and very well equipped. It was also extremely secluded and quiet. Although we did not use the club facilities another guest I spoke to said that the restaurant food was delicious. We were able to walk to Cromer via a cliff top path, a 25 min stroll. Cromer itself is somewhat faded and the best pub by far was the Red Lion Hotel. Taxis were only £2.60 from the town to the club. A service worth checking is the Coasthopper bus route between Cromer and Hunstanton. A one day Rover ticket costs £6 and visits lovely villages along the way, especially Cley by Sea. Buses run frequently all day until about 7pm, we travelled on Sunday where there was an hourly service in each direction.

We visited on a short break as a couple. Great location on top of cliffs, a bit too dark due to lots of trees. Accomodation clean and with lots of extras (big tv, stereo, well kitted out kitchen) - but outside space disappointing. They allocate ground floor studios to couples with no privacy outside - families are above with duplexes and big outside terraces. I would put couples upstairs, so kids can run around outside. It is traffic free by accommodation, and walks on cliff top are excellent.
Bar is pricey, and restaurant nothing exciting.
We're from the north, so found local prices quite high - but Cromer is old fashioned and charming, if a bit touristy with lots of fast food places.
