I recommend that all travelers to Natchez and The Burn Antebellum B&B read "The Pilgrimage" by Louise Wilbourn Collier before their trip. Ms. Collier is a descendant of the Walworth family, the original owners of The Burn. This former plantation is full of history and the delightful complimentary tour (complete with a glass of wine) details some of the fascinating history of The Burn.
The staff was friendly and welcoming, the grounds and pool area are beautiful - although it was too cold for the pool on the February day that I visited - and the rooms are comfortable and cozy. Breakfast was delicious too- fruit boiled in a sugary syrup, bacon & eggs and a big mound of tasty grits.
If I'm ever traveling through Natchez again I wouldn't hesitate to stay at The Burn.

Located in one of the historic neighborhoods of Natchez, and within walking distance of Stanton Hall and King's Tavern, this is a great place for a quiet weekend. A very friendly staff offered us a complementary glass of wine and a house tour on arrival – as well as a number of suggestions on activities in the area. The house has a pool, extensive gardens and off street parking. The southern breakfast the next morning was excellent – especially the homemade biscuits.

We stayed at The Burn for one night to celebrate our anniversary. We chose the Laura room - it was upstairs in the garconniere which is not part of the main house but is connected by a covered walkway. The room was large, decorated with antique furniture and art, and had a large bathroom with tub/shower. The bed was king size, pillowtop mattress, and high thread count linens. There was a small television, clock radio, blow dryer in the bath, and very efficient air conditioner. The main house is the family home for the owners, and there is an inground pool and nicely kept grounds. The home has been recently redecorated with period furnishings and is immaculate. Wine is served at 5:30 and there is a house tour of the lower two floors. Parking is available on-site, and the home is very near the downtown shops and restaurants. Breakfast was served at 8:30 with coffee, juice, grits, bacon, warm fruit, egg souffle, and biscuits. Our visit was very enjoyable, relaxing, and we would return to The Burn and recommend it to couples or families.
