First of all, my family and I feel lucky to have been taken in by Ron and Mimi after our original reservation with a nearby B&B fell through. The house is lovely. It's got all that you need. Comfortable spaces, beautiful things, and spacious rooms. The little cottage out back is GREAT, with the full kitchen, the DVD television and the washer and dryer. Great for families. The most important parts of our experience with Ron and Mimi were the incredible conversations and delicious breakfasts (with three different kinds of melons in the fruit salad!) that we enjoyed while there. Ron and Mimi know how to get people talking and enjoying one another's company. In fact, one morning we didn't get out of the house until almost 10 because the breakfast had turned into a kind of morning cocktail party with people milling around and trading e-mails. Ron and Mimi know EVERYTHING about Natchez and about Mississippi history. We think they're the secret mayors of Natchez. Learned, funny, generous and kind, these innkeepers made us want to go back to Natchez just to spend time with them. Forget the antebellum house tours. You want to learn about Natchez, talk to the Millers.
For the practicals. it's located perfectly. You can walk almost everywhere you want to go. It's well-priced. It's comfortable. And it's literally steps away from a really well-stocked book store, which to nerds like me and my husband, is a glorious thing.
Absolutely fabulous!
