My husband and I stayed here and had a great time. There are three rooms available. One downstairs and two upstairs. One room upstairs has a bathroom in the room and one room has a full bath outside of the room. The view of the river from the balcony upstairs is unbelieveable. They offer all the conveniences of home. They have a full beverage setup (soft drinks, beer, coffee, tea and coca) which is free with the room. They also offer a free breakfast. The owner serves an amazing breakfast either on the porch outside or in the dining room. There is also a nice walk that you can take along the bluff. The only down-side is that you do have to share a thermostat with the other room upstairs, so hopefully you agree on the room temperature. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Natchez!

What a wonderful, relaxing time we had a Neil Varnell's B & B! He couldn't have been nicer, his breakfasts were lovingly prepared and delightful, and the room and setting (right ON the river) left us with beautiful, peaceful memories. When we get a little rushed with our everyday lives, we just think about sitting on Neil's porch, drinking wine, watching the sun set over the Mississippi.... and thinking - "moments like this are what we indeed WORK for!!"

Do yourself a favor... VISIT Neil!

Just spent a Sunday night at Neil Varnell's Bluff Top B & B in Natchez. My wife, two grown daughters and I were returning to Dallas after a family celebration in Amory , MS and decided to spend a night in Natchez. The Bluff Top is a charming, restored 1894 Queen Ann Victorian, furnished beautifully and meticulously maintained. Our two upstairs bedrooms with private baths were connected to a comfortable sitting room with a veranda affording a spectacular view of the Mississippi. Breakfast was beautifully served in the lovely dining room to the accompaniment of the marvelous player piano in the nearby parlor. All in all a delightful experience and a charming host. We will be back!
